Last Time :
A Psychic Medium Speaks to Those We Have Loved
and Lost
by John Edward
Hardcover - 272 pages (December 1998)
Berkley Pub Group; ISBN: 0425169081
Synopsis:
In One Last Time, John talks about how he first discovered then gradually developed his psychic ability to foretell events and communicate with the deceased. He is also empowering people to tune into their own psychic abilities and read and understand signs of spiritual contact they may be experiencing every day without even knowing it. John Edward's fresh, honest--and at times even skeptical--approach has earned him an international following of those seeking genuine and accurate after death communication with departed family and loved ones. With warmth, humor and compassion, John tells the compelling stories of his most important readings, how they helped heal the scars of grief and gave way to more fulfilling lives for the living--lives where loved ones never cease to love you, and never really die...

This man is fantastic in what he does. I Love his shows and I knew I would feel the same way about his book and I did.
It gives me a whole different outlook on dieing. Thank you John.
Ferol Humphrey, 4/5/2000 I am a professional psychic, and I believe this tbook relates authentic experience.
I have read the work of James Van Praagh and Sonia Chocquette, who are in my opinion practicing ethics and compassion as true psychics. I compare everything I read to Sonia Chocquette for authenticity. I am also a professional medium myself, and I enjoyed John Edward's book One Last Time because it resonated as similar to my own experiences. This book would seem authentic to a professional in the field. That is the acid test. Go John. To those who think he has priced himself out of any market, John states in his book that he has served the general public for about 15 years. He is also probably tired. He has limited time available, has paid his dues, and should pick his own clientele at this point. I highly recommend his book. The detail of his experiences may seen repetitive to some, but folks, that is what happens over and over again. There is no other way to tell it. To someone doing it, it is all astonishing and beautiful. It certainly doesn't seem repetitious to us. Other people should be so lucky as to help people in this "repetitious" manner.
Jan, 3/8/2000 FASCINATING, YET SIMPLISTIC
A highly engaging and credible book, but do regret that Mr. Edward skims over exactly how he develops his psychic gifts. I, too, have had countless premonitions, visions, clauraudiences, spiritual dialogues and ESP, and I would love to develop these aspects of my personality. This would have been a believable person to instruct me, yet he does seem to repeat his experiences throughout the book. Perhaps he'll review this and write what I, and many others, desire to acquire -- the knowledge of how to develop further these present "gifts". Thank you, John.

The first step to learning more about the subject of life after death would be to pick up this book, it is for the advanced student, and quite explanatory for the beginner as well!
I have read alot of books on life after death...since the passing of my mother, I found this to be the one book where my mind never drifted or questioned.
I loved the simplicity that would intrigue the beginner
The repetious validations and confirmations will make the advanced believer smile and reconfirm your beliefs over and over again!

This book tells you about someone who truly has a gift. If you are a
skeptic, I'm not sure John Edward's story will change your mind--
unless you have an open heart. However, if you are a believer, and
have ever had any kind of experience that he and his clients
describe, then reading the book will only intensify your beliefs. A
great story of his life, and his encounters with others. I hope he
continues to join people together for 'One Last Time.'

I walked by this book in the store a number of times, thinking it
wouldn't interest me, until I saw the author being interviewed on TV
and doing readings for call-in listeners. He is very articulate and
his gift is stunning. This book is very reassuring for those of us
who hold less than rigid expectations (heaven/hell) for what happens
to us when this life is over. My only disappointment was that he
created an expectation there would be more instruction in the book
for those of us who would like to grow our psychic powers than there
actually was.

, January 3, 1999 just don't expect too much from this book
John Edwards has undoubtedly an otherworthly "in", however, there is
no substance to the book. He REPEATS HIS experiences as he channels
them through his guides for the duration of the book. I can recommend
the book to people who have absolutely NO spiritual connection
whatsoever, however, for those who are already convinced that there
is a 'connection', you won't need to read his book. John Edward has
also some outrageous charges for his services, which leads me to
believe that he's priced the little budgetted person out of his
office and leads me to thinking, "how spiritual is that?"
Peace.....

All I thought it would be .
I felt there was a lot more than I bargained for which was a pleasant
surprise. As far as psychics go, I saw John Edward on the Maury
Povich Show in late December of 98 and was very impressed. I had
never heard of him before and received the book for a Christmas gift.
For any of those out there who would like to believe that we actually
can have contact with our loved ones who have passed on, then this is
the book and psychic for you. I would highly recommend it.

My husband purchased this book for me as a Christmas gift. I started
the book the day after Christmas and finished it the next morning.
Excellent read. This book provided me with hope and a feeling of
peace concerning my mother's passing.
A reader from Long Island,

most skeptical
John Edward presents his life story and the realization when coming
to terms with his abilities. Assuming everything he writes is true,
even the most skeptical would have a hard time brushing aside the
incredible stories he has to tell. A great read before going to bed,
although I kept dreaming about spirits visiting me when I did
that!

man with exceptional ability.
I was given an early copy of this book by an American friend as I
live in England. It is a beautifully written account of a young man
with exceptional psychic abilities. His background is really
interesting and there is an extra chapter about how psychics get
their information. It certainly rates with Talking to Heaven by james
van Praagh. Coming out in UK from Piatkus in March apparently.

What can I say. I am no longer a sceptic in this area. If your
curiuos about life after death, read this book. I did not want to put
this book down. Highly recommended for anyone desiring a deeper look
into how God works through us.
