I've 24 years old, but I know Carlos Castaneda's books from the 13 years Old. In the beginning everything was surprising, but now is the wonderful life style. This book is around the same theme, "The magic of being conscious". Only I can say: Thanks Carlos, we will see in the other side.

Infinity

Gratefulness can not concede to what Carlos has done for life. In this book he recaptures the magic of the universe. In one of his books he is told that a warrior must disappear from the lifes of others. However in my opionion Mr Castaneda will remain in the memories of many forever. The cycle is complete.

Four-prong nagualism is the call to order. Perhaps he is loved like what-- no other. This happened not at all several years ago or more later. My visits to donjuan were extemporaneous and magical but lacking energy generating configuration. (v)To summarize that experience I would say you either saw Tulio in the nagual's study or that their were four Tulio's. What do you think I saw when I went to the shed? Pachamama

Carlos closed it with a golden clasp. A clear map.

It's Carlos for the last time! (and what more need be said?)

When someone saw me reading "Active Side of Infinity" and asked what I thought of it, I could only reply that if you love Castaneda, you will love this book. If you don't, then you won't. The most autobiographical of his works yet. Some have leveled the criticism that it is extremely self important what he has written. I would disagree. It is easy to "erase personal history" by simply becoming a recluse and secretive. What Castaneda has done here is a master stroke. By revealing the most poignant, and important, aspects of his path, he has opened himself up to an enormous of criticism. One reviewer lambasted the book as revealing nothing about the "active side of infinity". Indeed it doesn't. It does, however offer us a chance at a chance for such an encounter. Another reviewer praised the book, comparing its process to Freudian analysis. Such a view may seem feasible, but it is simply replacing the syntax of the sorceror with that of daily life. Few will take this work with the seriousness it deserves, and fewer still willl begin to walk the steps that Castaneda has been recommending for thirty years. Perhaps that is the real tragedy....

Very Powerful

I found this to be one of Castaneda's best books, if not his best. It is touching, clear, and packs a punch. It is brutally honest about the human condition, and comes direct from the heart. I had a difficult time putting this book down!
