About the Author:
Khedroob Thondup, the grandson of the author and nephew of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, was appointed by His Holiness as a special assistant and has traveled with him extensively. He oversees the Tibetan Refugee Self-Help Centre in Darjeeling and is an elected official of the Tibetan Parliament-in-exile. He lives in Darjeeling, India, as did his deceased grandmother, Diki Tsering.
