this is a wonderful book. i have used it several times as the basic text for a course in women and spirituality and students from 19 to 69 have loved it. it explores the various aspects of the search for the feminine divine through interviews with dozens of women who represent almost every spiritual tradition.

Read THE FEMININE FACE OF GOD as part of my research for a paper on the spirituality of women for a women's psychology. For me personally, it was the right book at the right time. As I continue to struggle as a woman in a patriarchal church, this book continues to be a source of hope. The book ends with a plea for women to pass on to future generations our own spiritual experience and wisdom, and as the mother of two daughters, I take that plea seriously! May our daughters benefit from our spiritual seeking.

A real "change-your-life" kind of book - I'm the third person to be handed down my current copy. Advice - find it, buy / borrow it, read it. Then give it to a friend.
