Like Don Miquel Ruiz, author of the bestselling book The Four Agreements, author Susan Gregg teaches readers how the ancient Toltec tradition can apply to life in the 21st century. For those who haven't watched Oprah lately, the Toltecs were an ancient race of people who flourished in Southern Mexico around 800 AD. "They were also a secret society dedicated to preserving the knowledge of the 'ancient ones,' who were great spiritual masters," according to Gregg. Gregg explains that the Toltec tradition is a way of seeing beyond our perceived sense of reality and into an unlimited world of possibility.
Since Gregg is a dedicated teacher of this exciting (and yes, even faddish) Toltec tradition, she emphasizes basic tools and specific examples rather than obscure parables and philosophies. Chapter titles such as "Letting Go of the Past," "Finding a Happiness That Lasts," and "Where to Go for Support" sound more like self-help chapters than enticing discussions of mystical beliefs. But that's Gregg's point--why make this reality-blowing tradition obscure and inaccessible when its whole purpose is that of spiritual empowerment? As a push-up-your-sleeves-and-get-started primer, it can't be beat. But if you're looking for more lyrical or pensive prose, turn to Don Miquel or Don Juan. --Gail Hudson

I just finished reading THE TOLTEC WAY, and I'm stunned by the vast amount of information that is packed into only 240 pages. It is a complete roadmap for anyone to transform their life completely. Of course, it is only 240 pages, however the journey may take years to complete. But, so what? It ought to be worth the effort to find happiness and freedom. Dr. Gregg has written a great book! |

So many books claim they will help you change your life, this one really will. It made me feel things I hadn't felt in years. As I used the tools clearly outlined I changed the way I thought about things. I began to act instead of react to the events in my life. I am so grateful the author took the time to share her wisdom. At the end of the book she tells readers to feel free to contact her if they have any questions - and I know she means it - she answered my questions most graciously. Buy two or more books and share them with your friends or even better with the person that bugs you the most. I even sent one to my dad. |

I read don Miguel's Four Agreements and loved it but this book takes you one step further - it shows you how to change your life in ways that are unimaginable. The teaching stories really moved me and made me think about life differently. Dr. Gregg thank you so much for writing this book and sharing it with me. |
