Synopsis:

From the Back Cover
Since the archaeological discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls in 1946, the word "Essene" has made its way around the world-often raising a lot of questions. Many people were astonished to discover that, two thousand years ago, a brotherhood of holy men, living together in a community, carried within themselves all of the seeds of Christianity and of future western civilization. This brotherhood-more or less persecuted and ostracized-would bring forth people who would change the face of the world and the course of history. Indeed, almost all of the principal founders of what would later be called Christianity were Essenes-St. Ann, Joseph and Mary, John the Baptist, Jesus, John the Evangelist, etc.

Reviews:

Matthew from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA , July 20, 1999 A treasure-trove for anyone open to the great wisdom
There are rare moments in our life when the discovery of a book simply leaves us breathlessly filled with awe, gratitude and joy.

We recognize immediately that we have come upon a great treasure, and we sense immediately that it has begun to change us.

That has been my response to encountering this book.

There are no words: I recommend this book to anyone eager for truth, wisdom and beauty.

John from Santa Cruz, CA , May 17, 1999 A must read!!!
Itís the best book on the Essenes Iíve ever read. Iíve just finished devouring it. Others only scratched the surface, and I always knew there was more. I have been searching for these teachings for years.

Thanks so much!

About the Author
Born in France in 1964, Olivier Manitara is a spiritual teacher within the western tradition. He began, at a very young age, to instinctively practice exercises which would later prove to be spiritual in nature. In 1987, after a period of following several teachings, he decided to go on a three-year retreat, part of which was spent in the mountains of in the French Pyrenees. As a result of the intense experiences which he had undergone, he decided to devote himself entirely to the awakening of the human consciousness, and to freedom.
