The Giza Power Plant comes of age.
This work was started in September 1977 and will be of age
when it becomes available for purchase. The book addresses the
feasibility of the pyramids as tombs theory and presents hard
evidence that proves that the ancient Egyptians were much more
advanced than we have previously believed. So advanced, in fact, that
they created stunning artifacts that we would have difficulty
producing even today!

Dunn makes an admirable contribution to the ever increasing volume of facts supporting an alternative view of the early history of the Nile basin. In reviews critical of his findings, I've read disparagement but no facts in refutation other than the tired cliches of Egyptologists that echo from almost as far back in history as the ancient Egyptions themselves. When a distinguished member of the "club" like John Anthony West, or authors like Hancock (who was a reporter for the most prestigious newmaganzine in the world, //The Economist//)present facts that reasonate (no pun intended) with Dunn's findings, it is not credibile to dismiss them. Dunn's theory is certain new to me, but more credible than a lot of other patent nonsense that has come from the Egyptilogical establishment in the last 50 or so years. The point is, his findings are so precise and detailed it might be possible to make a scale model of the plant. I challange critics to do just that and completely report the methodology and results. Until someone proves Dunn is wrong, his theory deserves the same benefit of the doubt as Schroedinger's Cat. |

I find it very difficult to beleive that the Egyptians built the pyramids in Egypt to begin with, and as I went through Mr. Dunn's book I felt like I was reading nothing but fiction. If the pyramids of Egypt were truly built by the egyptians 2,000 to 5,000 years ago, where is this sophisticated technology that they use to create them today? Why is it that as sophisticated as our technology is in the year 2000, we cannot replicate these great pyramidss with our "advanced" technology? This book was just an icebreaker, in preparation for the truth about who really built he pyramids of egypt, and when they were built. Not to mention the tehnology these mysterious builders used. My opinion is this book is just a mediocre attempt at the truth. You are better off rading "Heavens Mirror" by Graham Hancock and Santha Faiia, or "The Great Pyramid Decoded" by Peter Lemesurier. The books are based on factual evidence and information by expert archaeoligists. They provide you with evidence on their findings and awesome ilustrations to go along with them! Sorry to burst your bubble! |

I found the way Dunn described each level of his theory entertaining in that I understand the concepts of machining in today's world. He brings each phase of new information with well thoughtout descriptions so as to provoke the reader to try to understand how truly awe inspiring the tasks would be to machine solid granite. The story takes you through lot's of interesting historical facts of the discoveries made within the Great Pyramid as each new explorer struggled with the sheer power of solid granite and the reasons for it's existence. One can't help but want to see it in person after reading this book. Whomever built the pyramids I'm convinced did it with advanced machinery. I too would ponder what I might be able to discover in Egypt, perhaps remnants of tooling they used to drill into the rock. Maybe Chris Dunn will revisit the quarry or dig around in some forgotten museum and find another elusive clue in the time honored quest to know why and theorize the what for......Get the book and read his theory. You too will experience "Paradigm shift" with regard to "How" The Great Pyramid was built. The best part is his theory why. Power Plant! Thank you for this book! |

Christopher Dunn has written a tremendous book--far and away the best work about the Great Pyramid in the last 25 years. Using his background as a master machinist and engineer, Chris has seen the Great Pyramid as it really was and is, a magnificent structure built by master craftspeople (scientists and engineers) to be a practical device, a power plant. Chris explains why it was built so precisely, why the particular materials were used and how advanced machining and techniques had to be employed to accomplish the task. Anyone interested in recovery of ancient wisdom, understanding how the Great Pyramid could not possible have been originally designed and built as a tomb for a king, and interested in the concepts of sacred geometry, acoustical harmonic resonance theories and the great knowledge of the Ancient Khemitians (Egyptians) must read this book! |

This is easily one of the funniest books I've ever read, but I gave it two stars because it is well written. Yes, the pyramids as power plants to run all the tools used to cut the stones for the pyramids--well except the first pyramid--and of course operate the spaceships and the blenders and TV's etc. Or maybe they were only built to provide the resources needed to build pyramids which would then provide resources to build more pyramids. Please, there are a lot of fascinating aspects to Egyptian civilization--this isn't one of them. |

Quite simply: There goes History as we once knew it! This book is, for its reverse engineering quality, a landmark work. Anyone negatively criticizing "The Giza Power Plant" simply has not read it. Dunn's speculations based on the conctete evidence notwithsatnding, this is a must read for anyone willing to learn. |
