Her-Bak is an excellent fictionalized version of initiation into
the Great Temple of ancient Egypt. This two-part novel (see Chick
Pea) is based on her husband's painstaking research in Egypt and her
understanding of ancient Egypt through life experience in Luxor.
Daughter Lucie Lamy provides excellent illustrations.
Warning: Traditional Egyptologists regard this family with
disdain.
