I started leafing through this book at my local metaphysical bookstore with rather low expectations. Twenty minutes later, I was still standing there reading.
Much of the book is in the form of transcipts during hypnotherapy regressions in which a young woman recalls in vivid detail a past life as a male Essene teacher named Suddi. Suddi is a master of Jewish law in the community of Qumran on the Dead Sea when teenaged Jesus and John the Baptist are admitted as students in the Essene mysteries.
Some beautiful references to the youthful wisdom of Jesus omitted from the cannonical Bible. Insight into what the Essenes saw as their role within Judaism and helping prepare the way for the coming of Jesus. Detailed descriptions of the community of Qumran before its abandonment.
Suddi is a powerful, delightful guide into his world. The Romans suffer from his dry wit. And the young, shining master Jesus is introduced to us in a personal, profound way.
