Currently living in Japan has enabled me to comprise five years
of heartfelt research.This book is the result of much news about Dr.
Usui, his personal life, the Japanese Reiki movement and those who
came after him.
The book also features a 'new' photograph of Dr. Usui, a translation
of the memorial stone erected at his grave in Tokyo as well as a lot
of so far unknown facts. Maybe the most striking discovery is that
Mr.C. Hayashi never was Dr. Usui's successor as is currently believed
in the West...

"A knife in the hands of someone that does not know how to use it is
dangerous". I have been involved in Reiki for many many years. I am a
Reiki Master. As a master on a journey of enlighment, I am always
saying I know nothing, I want to know it all! This great Ancient Art
of Reiki is a self healing tool. Frank's books only allows me to
deepen my commitment to do more Reiki on myself and to continue

September 11, 1998 Next Generation of Reiki
This book coincides with my begining of Reiki practice. I have been
in the Health and Healing field for 20 years or more. I knew about
Reiki but it never "clicked" right to my ears or to my heart. The
stories or legends were too "new age" and did not convince me that
Reiki was properly described neither presented in its full potential.

Mr. Petter's book has given more "flesh to the bone" - the pices of
the Reiki puzzle is falling into place. Very interessting reading -
and this book feels like it really tells the trouth about Reiki in
the West and Japan. I read it with great enthusiasem and it was a
pleasure to upgrade my knowledge through Mr. Petters book. Together
with Mr. William L. Rand's book "Reiki The Healing Touch" I consider

This is a book we have been waiting for so long. Frank Petter have
got to know and understans the reiki and what its all about. Read it,
if you are a reiki practioner, if not, read it anyway. He also tells
the story of Dr. Usui that no master in the west have ever told it
befoure.

If you are a Reiki Practitioner you'll love this book. Mr. Petter has
thoroughly researched Dr. Usui and Takata's background and gives
basis of the whys we do Reiki the way we do. Sometimes we
practitioners get caught up in the 'right' technique and forget the
big picture (or purpose. Mr. Petter helps us remember why we are
