I bought this book for myself when I saw it in a bookstore, it almost jumped off the shelf into my hands. The color was so inviting and the minute I looked inside I knew it was for me. I read it on the way home in the car to myself and to my husband. I can't read in the car because of motion sickness but I was willing to risk it for the acceptance the writing was giving me.

, 02/18/98, What an AMAZING Book!
I love this book-- it's become my "bible" of sorts! I love the
honesty, freedom, delightful humor (I'm talking giggle fits!), color,
and creativity that comes spilling forth from its handwritten pages!
I love the little notes and pictures in the margins-- I'm even
inspired to add my own to hers! I love that she "grants you
permission" to read the book in random order, backwards, forwards or
upside down if you want to (I read it in random order and
backwards!). I love that at the end of each section she has a page
full of other resources (books, tapes, newsletters, etc.) on the
topic she's been writing about, and even suggestions for music to
listen to for inspiration! I love that I've been quoting from it to
family and friends since I started it and that I've already ordered 3
more copies for friends! I love that I received it for Valentines Day
from two succulent and wild people- my Mom and Dad, and strongly
recommend it be given to daughters (mothers, aunts, friends,
co-workers, grandmas, etc.) everywhere who need a burst of positive
energy and colorful inspiration in their lives! Wow.

I recieved this book for Christmas from my best friend. She bought it
for me because when she saw it, she instantly make the connection
between SARK and me. Never before had I read something so brutally
honest and equally inlightning. It changed my generall outlook on
things because I have always been an individual whom craves chaos and
wild weirdness. But never before did I consider that there is this
part in every woman that is yearning to be succulent and wild. I
loved SARK's animation which was often completely out of context. To
all of those women out there who read this and say, "What is she
talking about? Who is this person and why does she insist upon raving
about this book?" I have and answer for you, Because we are all
Succulent Wild Women and we deserve read such brilliant gibberish!!!!
Now go out there and write a book about your crazzy, deliscious
life!

"You must read this book. It will put everything in perspective."
This book was lent to me by a very good friend after a period of
significant change in my life. SARK's constant and consistent
attitude towards living life to its fullest is beyond "motivational"
or "inspirational." Never preaching, this book is a good introduction
to renewing one's attitude toward living (for those of us out there
who forgot what life was really all about). The colourful,
handwritten pages convey a wide range of emotions, and I laughed out
loud at her drawings and side comments. Her energy and zest for
living is contagious! This book made me want to read others by SARK,
which is what I'm doing now!

I enjoyed this book very much. It is simple, lighthearted and easy to
read, yet says so much. The suggestions in this book bring us back to
basics and center our souls. Sark writes about women and how to
support ourselves and each other - emotionally not financially. I
recommend this book for all women.

in a bubble bath!
Inspiring and action-oriented, SARK's "Succulence" not only filled me
with enthusiasm, but got me MOVING! Bracing like a sunrise walk along
the ocean, as soothing as a candelit bubble bath with a cup of
peppermint tea, SARK nudged me back on the road to my own
creativity.
Jeanne, 06/16/97, Wanted to
send one to every one of my sisters!
I couldn't put this book down. I opened it standing at my kitchen
counter and read the first three chapters standing there. I ordered 6
copies for gifts before finishing the book. It is a wonderful book
giving us permission to truly be ourselves without apology or even
explainations and letting our own delicious creativity run free.
KB, 06/15/97, An invitation
to love yourself, play and create!
I had to read this book through at one sitting, it was too much fun
to put down! I laughed out loud many times at Sark's observations and
self-descriptions. She shares many inspiring ways to release our
succulent selves and I have appropriated two ideas already! Sark is a
wonderful inspiration to Celebrate Life... now I'll have to look at
her other books!
A Reader, 05/09/97

amuse and hug you with her words!!!!!

is an honest friend to both women and men!
This book is like a best friend, holding my hand into the next
transition of my life. Sark is a gentle and insightful author who
offers hope and inspiration, making the ordinary extraordinary. This
book is both nutritious and delicious.
NJT, 05/01/97, A really FUN
book for women of all ages!
If you'd like to be more creative and have more fun in life, this
book will take you by the hand, like your very best friend, and show
you the way. I began reading it, and even before I was finished I
bought a copy for my mother and a copy for my daughter!
